Facts about Lorde

Last week and this week we have been doing teaser week for the Learning Journey We had to go though the page and pick what activity we wanted to do. I pick Lorde a New Zealand Singer she is very famous of her singer and her dance moves. We had to write facts about her. I wrote 5 facts about her. I found it easy to find facts about her. Is It Real or Fake.

Today in cbersrmat we did something called phishing. That means that id is fake but it is trying to make you think it is real but it is not real. Then we got put into groups my group was Dylan, Oscar and me. We had to write what would be real and not would be real. We wrote for real. the green that means it is safe. It has Https. Email and says secure. This is what we had for fake. It will say dear friend because your real friend wouldn't say that. Check if it is a real shop if you got a link. I found it hard to think of what to write. I found it easy to write things down what my group said to me. One of things you should look at is a triangle with exclamation that means it is not safe. Adding Multiples of 100 up to 1 000

Yesterday in maths we did adding multiples of 100 up to 1 00 in my math class. I found it hard for some of the question because some of them were hard. I found it easy to make them into 1 000. Harry potter time tables

For the last week we have been doing time tables. Today we did a harry potter time tables. We had to figure out what time would the take to get to somewhere. I found it easy to figure out what time the buses took to get to the places. I didn't really found anything hard. If you have any questions put them in a comment. 

Hangi time.

Yesterday for the nearly the whole day the year six girls helped doing the food for the food while the years six boys dig up the pit for the Hangi. If you are wondering what a Hangi is a Hangi is food cooked under ground like for a example vegetables and meat like pork and chicken. I found it hard to cut the carrots because I cut them and grated the carrots. I found it easy to put the potatoes in the box and the pork and chicken and lettuce. here are some photos of the Hangi. Dream Destination

Today in cybersmart we did a thing called remove bg that is a thing that you can take a photo of you removing the background so you can be anywhere. We did it about are dream destination my destination is to be with a herd in the wild. If you don´t know what a herd is a herd is a wild horses in the wild. Time Tables

Today in math strand homeroom we had to make time table. We had to work out how many minutes or hours it took to get to Epsom to Waterloo. For the past weeks we have been doing letter name art. The start of are name my one is a E. I didn't really anything hard. What I found easy easy to draw create my letter. Surfing and boogie boarding on Friday.

On last Friday for a school trip. We went to summer beach for surfing it was amazing and we went boogie boarding as well I really enjoy going boogie boarding. I found it hard to get onto the board when the board was riding the wave. And for boogie boarding I found it hard to get on the wave. I found it easy to get into the sea to get further. today for te reo Maori we did a sheet for where is the object. it is about write te or a in the space - te if it is a thing and if it is someones's name. I found it hard know if it was te or a. I found it easy to understand what to do on the sheet. We learnt about what the singular and plurals. If you have any question write an comment and I will reply. Puzzle planet, Maori days

Today in Te reo Maori we did a puzzle about Te reo maori days. Are teacher Miss Woolley she show us a site to make a puzzles. But we did it about maori days. The maori day are Rahina is Monday, Ratu is Tuesday, Raapa is Wednesday, Rapare is Thursday, Ramere is Friday, Rahoroi is Saturday, Ratapu is Sunday. I found it hard put all the puzzles all together. Yellow Understanding Different Perspectives Zones of Regulation

Today in inquiry we are doing zones of Regulation the zone we are doing is yellow in zones.  We learnt about how others feel, think and what they could say when I am in a certain zone. I found it hard to think of something to write. I found it easy to understand it and how they could feel when they are in a certain zone. Respect yourself

Today and yesterday me and my homeroom had to draw a hand about how would we clam yourself when you are upset or worried, so we got a piece of paper and draw our hand and wrote done what we would clam our self's and respect our self. Be Awesome video

For three weeks I have been doing be awesome video. It is about telling people how to be awesome and how to treat people. we wrote a script about how people could be Awesome. In our groups my group was Isaiah, Lukas perrin. Then we made a imovie I found it hard to record because we couldn't record without are group sense most of the time my group was away. I found it easy to record because I knew what to do and say.  But I can't get my Imove on Ipad because is 11 Ipads to go though. ANd remember to be Awesome and makes someones day.

Whole school Assembly

Today I had the most Exciting Assembly in my life. Because my and my friend Carla got the most imported badge in the school. The Leader badge, we were the first year sixes to get the Leader badge. When are homeroom teacher (Mcguinniety) called out our names for the badge . Me and Carla were shaking when we were going to the front of the hall. My most favorite part was getting the badge and hand shaking Mrs Mcguinniety. Here is a photo of me with my Leader badge. The first photo is me.

Sumopaint

For the past two weeks we have been trying different things except google slides. For cybersmart we try Sumopaint you can use it for art and art designs. There are cool paint brushes and there is another cool tool is is a symmetry tool it copy every side you paint. I found it hard to use it because if you make a mistake it Missed up your good design you made. I found it easy to use the other tools because they easy to use. Here is my sumopaint design. How to make a email to a teacher

Today in literacy we had to write a email to our teacher´s how to write a email properly with full stops, commas, speech marks And capital letters. We had to write it about what we are struggling in literacy here is what I wrote. I found it challenging to know what to write on the email. I found it easy put punctuation on it and put full stops and commas.

Emma's pepe ha

The start of the term we have been doing pepe ha.  I like doing pepe ha because I can draw my family because I like drawing. I found it hard to know what to do in my pepe ha I found it easy to draw and write it down,  It is completely finish yet, Here it is hope you like it.

lime scooters Digi Awrads.

The past six weeks we have been doing Digi Awards about Innovation Otautahi , We had a option to be in a group or a buddies I choose to be in a buddy because I found it easier to be in a buddy just working in with 1 person, my buddy was Teagen we are doing it about lime scooters because it go to fast and it  should have a helmet.  I found it hard to make the slides and the lime scooter. I found it easy to pick it and create the back of the slides. I really enjoy doing the Digi awards. It not completely finish yet. Here it is, Hope you enjoy it.
 

The seven sister of Matariki

This week we have been doing Matariki and I did a slide show about Matariki and the seven sisters I really enjoy doing it because I learnt more about Matariki and the seven sisters. I learnt that the seven sister were patupaiarehe are fairy women but patupaiarehe is the moari name for fairy women. The seven sisters were trying to kill mitai brothers, But mitai was getting suspicious about the seven sisters. and he notice that they never come out of they house. So He waited in till they come out of they house then he saw that his brothers wives turn into birds then he followed them then they transformed but into fairy women again he heard them talking about to kill his brothers so he fly but to his brother and said your wives are patupaiarehe they they can be ?? then mitai said look at yourselfs you used be strong good looking. but know you are lunfit and not strong anymore. they look  each other and knew that mitai was right.

I found it hard to know what to write down on a slide show because you had to know what to write down. I found it easy to make the slide show and add whats it needs.

What am I ?

Today In literacy we have been doing what I am song we had to write what it meant and would this get little children to think about what it means. I really enjoy doing this because it made me think about what it means. I found it hard to think if little kids would know if they knew what it meant. I found it easy to know what it meant. Then we had to write about a paragraph what it meant, then we had write a paragraph about us so here is my work.

Broken rock paper scissors

This week in literacy we had to watch a video called Broken Rock Paper Scissors. We rewrote the story rock paper scissors from one of the 3 characters perspective Rock, Paper or Scissors I chose Paper. I chose Paper because I thought her part in the story was good and story would be good. I like how we got to choose what character we wanted. First we watched the video and chose our character, then we wrote the story and edited it last we published it. I found it easy to put my own bit in the story but I found it hard to get the writing down .Here is mine I hope you like it.

Broken  Rock Paper  Scissors 

I live in a forest filled with bright colors like the bright shining flowers and trees. One day I saw a rock falling down like an avalanche on the side of the hill. Then he stood up and looked at me but then we heard SNIP SNIP SNIP. He looked at me and raised his arm at me. He grabbed my arm but then his hand was starting to break in half, But paper beats rock

Then I went with rock we ran in the forest the branches was in our way so we smacked! smacked! until the branches broke. We come to an end. There was a mountain in front of us we both look at each other paper said what are we going to do?. Then some of my hair felled and then scissors picked it up and cut my hair in half.  

 I started to fly towards him with no regrets but then I got cut in half. Then I actually regretted flying towards him, Because of Scissors my life was in danger. Then I slowly close my eyes and heard nothing.

I woke up on a rock I look to the side of the rock ,but then I saw him just laying there unraveled. I saw his head so I picked up his head and started to cry my heart shattered. I couldn’t believe that he has left my life.

What's in a name

Today in math we got into groupsand my group was Keah, Harmony and me. We had to work up there secret codes for there names. I found it challenging to work out there codes for there code for there names. I found it easy to know what to do. Jim code was 1 9 4 and Jan code was 115.  Here is my working.

Today in math stand we had to get a grid and draw 8 by 8 square and put A to H at the top and on the slide we had to put 1 to 8 on left slide on the square. And 4D was are starting point. And we had to get to the question mark. I found it challenging to write down it because I got confused. I found it easy to draw the directions. I am not completely done yet so here is my work.

The lost horse / writing

For the past week for literacy we have been writing pair writing so you had to get a buddy. My buddy was Merika we had to write a story together we wrote about a lost horse. Her owner didn't care about her. We had to share our work with others and we had to read others and to give feedback to others. She had enough so she escape her stable and ran away but she just ended back the stable so she keep walking then she ate a apple then...  she woke up at a magical stable. Here is my writing.

The Lost Horse.

My plan

Introduction:  she was lost she didn’t know what to do she was lonely and hungry.

Middle:  she escapes the farm and gets lost in the country then she ends back at the farm!!.       

Ending:  she get a home but she gets a bad home again and escapes again.

 

There was a tall, brown  horse in an old rustic stable. She was very lonely, she had no one to talk to and her mind got full of words. Her owner’s weren’t  that nice to her every night she would get no food.She would get hungry, she had to provide for herself.

Her name was Aleisha, she could jump over a log fence that was about 4 foot. But she didn’t want to because she was afraid that she would get lost in the country. “One night” she said to herself  “I will jump over the fence”.

A few nights later Aleisha decided that she had a enough! She tried jumping over the fence, but it didn’t work out, She was really anxious to jump over the fence, and she was kicking, the back of the fence to get out!  She put her tail between her legs, Then the owner heard her trying to jump over the fence and then they put her back into the dark and cold stable.

Then Aleisha heard walking over to her. She managed to jump over the fence but she court over the fence, but her owners put Aleisha back into the stable. The next night She managed to jump over the fence but, Her owners didn’t come out to put her back in the stable She was confused? that her owners didn’t put her back in her stable, She ran like she has never ran before,. She flick her mane in the wind, days later she got lost in the country she thought to herself that she has to find a home that loves me. So started to walk towards south.

And then she saw a delicious apple she wanted to eat it, and so she tried and tried to jump up and get it but then in one more jump she got  it.Once she got the apple she ate it she fell asleep and when she woke up she saw these very warm stables there.she thought that she was in heaven and she walked to this garden and there were these people and they were looking after her she thought that she found a family that loved her and she was right.then she spent the rest of her life there and they lived happily ever after.

homeroom balancing/P.E

Today In my homeroom we went outside to are playground for balancing we started on the wood planks then we went on wood logs we were are not aloud to touch the edges of the playground if not we would have to restart. I made it the black tubes on the playground. It was hard because it was slippery on the the  black tubes.
I found it hard going across the black tubes on the playground. I found it easy to go across the wood logs because it wasn't slippery.

Going on a bear hunt - Maths - Driections

In math we are learning about directions. We listen to the story. Going on a bear hunt. We picked out the obstacles in the story. Then we drew a map of the story. We had to think carefully where to put the obstacles.

Then we had to write directions from the house to the cave. We had to use north, west, east and south. I found it hard to write the directions down. I found it easy to draw the obstacles. here is my directions. Hope you like it.

Today in my math group we had to solve who is friends with who. we got given clues to figure it out.  I found it hard to figure who was friends with who. I found it easy to write it down. bedroom makeover with $100

Today in math we had to make a bedroom make over with $100 I manage to stay bellow my budget in miss Williamson class. We had to use addition skills to make sure we dont go over budget. pigeon Impossible

In Literacy today we watched a short movie called Pigeon Impossible. The movie was about a very mysterious pigeon who tried to steel a bagel. Walter , The secret Agent needed his mission. He stopped the explosion of the rocket but it didn't end exactly how he it. We had a choice of 4 tasks.wanted poster, A another mission that could be spoilt by the pigeon again, write a about the solution, make a comic strip about it 

I chose to do the wanted poster. I had to draw the pigeon had and write what it did. I found it hard to draw the pigeon because it was my first time making a pigeon. I found it easy to write the blog post and what the pigeon did.

Little red riding hood coordinates

Today in math we are learning about coordinates. We learnt that you say the letter first then the  number Our map was about the story "little Red Riding Hood ".  We had to do 2 things First we had to write the coordinates for the pictures.  Second we had to draw the pictures in the right place. I found it easy to write coordinates I found it hard to know the coordinates. 

How to create a fortune teller

What you need to make a fortune teller. You need scissors and Colors pencils/Felts

Step 1 :   First you need to get a piece of paper and cut it into a square. Then you fold it in half and make sure you makes creases. Then unfold it then do the same thing on the other slide.

Step 2 :   Fold into a triangle.Then you want to unfold it then fold it the other into a triangle again.

Step 3 :   Now you need to fold all your corners into the middle. Then flip it over to the other slide.

Step 4 :   Then fold your corners into the middle again.

Step 5 :   Then you fold it in half then stick your fingers inside the fortune teller then rotate your finger in the middle. Now you have a fortune teller. Now you can decorate it how you like it.

This week we have been making a lot of fortune tellers in Miss Williamson's literacy class and I mean a lot.When we have made over like 3 fortune tellers we had to start making instruction for when people get bored they can make a fortune teller so they don't get bored.  

prediction

Today I have been doing a prediction will happen after.  we had to write a story or just a prediction about a man and a ladder I found it  was challenging because it was hard to write. But other I love writing the prediction I hope you like my prediction.

Hide n seek

Last week, we have been doing Hide n Seek I thought this hiding  spot was good because the hiding spot was big so I could fit in the hiding sport. I found it hard to get out of the hiding because it was hard to get out the hiding spot. Here is where I hid I hope you liked my hiding spot.

Novel Study- The Shifty shark

Today and last week we have been reading for our homework. The main character was Archie the  shifty shark. The story quite interesting ,I wonder how it ends?

  I rate this story 4 out of 5. 

Archie thinks he the biggest animal on the reef but when he goes deeper and deeper he find out that he is not the biggest shark on the reef!  

I recommend this book if you like to read mysteries. 

My favorite part is when Archie try's to tip the fishing boat because he wants food to eat. 

We had activity sheets because they help you to figure out the character. we are learning to look at characters closely. I hope you like it. 

kindness

Today we had to brainstorm what kindness means down on a sheet of paper. after brainstorming what kindness means we went down on the mat  to get ideas for the poem for ideas. After getting ideas for the poem then we went off the doing the poem we had to write about what is kindness. what it is and what it feels like then we had to blog about poem here is my poem. hope you like my poem of kindness

Hockey

1. Today we were with  Canterbury hockey with peter learning how to hold a hockey stick and to dribble and dodge. I had so much FUN !!!  but already knew how to play hockey.  I found it challenging to look down and dribble because I got dizzy .
