Te Tiriti o Waitangi

Yesterday we did a sheet about a the Maori treaty. The Maori name is called Te Tiriti O Waitangi. We watch video from Aoetearoa History Show about the moari treaty. We had to answer the questions on the piece of paper and they showed us how they defended themselves when they were fighting the British. The reason why they were fighting each other because the British wanted to take their land off them. So they defended there land and keep there people safe. So they made defences like flax walls, log walls and trenches. I will give you an example for one of the questions, what was then two main reasons for the new Zealand drop in population?, Why did the British send Hobson to New Zealand to set up the treaty of Waitangi. Now today we have to write a summary about yesterday what we did. Now I have blog post about treaty of New Zealand. I really enjoy learning about the treaty of New Zealand.

1. What was the Maori populations in 1830s. 700,000 100,000
2. what does sovereignty mean?. Power and control.
3. what did maori believe would happen to their land after they sighed the treaty? what the British think. that they wouldn't get the land back.
4. How many rangatiratanga from around the county signed the treaty. 500 chiefs signed the treaty that day.
5.Who set up the New Zealand company? what were their plans for New Zealand?. Edward wakefield to buy land for cheap then sell it for expensive.

Facts about Lorde

Last week and this week we have been doing teaser week for the Learning Journey We had to go though the page and pick what activity we wanted to do. I pick Lorde a New Zealand Singer she is very famous of her singer and her dance moves. We had to write facts about her. I wrote 5 facts about her. I found it easy to find facts about her. Is It Real or Fake.

Today in cbersrmat we did something called phishing. That means that id is fake but it is trying to make you think it is real but it is not real. Then we got put into groups my group was Dylan, Oscar and me. We had to write what would be real and not would be real. We wrote for real. the green that means it is safe. It has Https. Email and says secure. This is what we had for fake. It will say dear friend because your real friend wouldn't say that. Check if it is a real shop if you got a link. I found it hard to think of what to write. I found it easy to write things down what my group said to me. One of things you should look at is a triangle with exclamation that means it is not safe. Adding Multiples of 100 up to 1 000

Yesterday in maths we did adding multiples of 100 up to 1 00 in my math class. I found it hard for some of the question because some of them were hard. I found it easy to make them into 1 000. Harry potter time tables

For the last week we have been doing time tables. Today we did a harry potter time tables. We had to figure out what time would the take to get to somewhere. Hangi time.

Yesterday for the nearly the whole day the year six girls helped doing the food for the food while the years six boys dig up the pit for the Hangi. If you are wondering what a Hangi is a Hangi is food cooked under ground like for a example vegetables and meat like pork and chicken. I found it hard to cut the carrots because I cut them and grated the carrots. I found it easy to put the potatoes in the box and the pork and chicken and lettuce. here are some photos of the Hangi. Dream Destination

Today in cybersmart we did a thing called remove bg that is a thing that you can take a photo of you removing the background so you can be anywhere. We did it about are dream destination my destination is to be with a herd in the wild. If you don´t know what a herd is a herd is a wild horses in the wild. Time Tables

Today in math strand homeroom we had to make time table. We had to work out how many minutes or hours it took to get to Epsom to Waterloo. Letter Name Art.

For the past weeks we have been doing letter name art. The start of are name my one is a E. I didn't really anything hard. What I found easy easy to draw create my letter. Surfing and boogie boarding on Friday.

On last Friday for a school trip. We went to summer beach for surfing it was amazing and we went boogie boarding as well I really enjoy going boogie boarding. I found it hard to get onto the board when the board was riding the wave. And for boogie boarding I found it hard to get on the wave. I found it easy to get into the sea to get further. I found easy to paddle out to sea to get on the board and paddle. Have you went surfing for a school trip before?. Here are some photos of me.

where is the object?

today for te reo Maori we did a sheet for where is the object. it is about write te or a in the space - te if it is a thing and if it is someones's name. I found it hard know if it was te or a. I found it easy to understand what to do on the sheet. We learnt about what the singular and plurals. If you have any question write an comment and I will reply. Puzzle planet, Maori days

Today in Te reo Maori we did a puzzle about Te reo maori days. Are teacher Miss Woolley she show us a site to make a puzzles. But we did it about maori days. The maori day are Rahina is Monday, Ratu is Tuesday, Raapa is Wednesday, Rapare is Thursday, Ramere is Friday, Rahoroi is Saturday, Ratapu is Sunday. I found it hard put all the puzzles all together. Yellow Understanding Different Perspectives Zones of Regulation

Today in inquiry we are doing zones of Regulation the zone we are doing is yellow in zones.  We learnt about how others feel, think and what they could say when I am in a certain zone. I found it hard to think of something to write. I found it easy to understand it and how they could feel when they are in a certain zone. Respect yourself

Today and yesterday me and my homeroom had to draw a hand about how would we clam yourself when you are upset or worried, so we got a piece of paper and draw our hand and wrote done what we would clam our self's and respect our self. Be Awesome video

For three weeks I have been doing be awesome video. It is about telling people how to be awesome and how to treat people. we wrote a script about how people could be Awesome. In our groups my group was Isaiah, Lukas perrin. Then we made a imovie I found it hard to record because we couldn't record without are group sense most of the time my group was away. I found it easy to record because I knew what to do and say.  But I can't get my Imove on Ipad because is 11 Ipads to go though. ANd remember to be Awesome and makes someones day.

Whole school Assembly

Today I had the most Exciting Assembly in my life. Because my and my friend Carla got the most imported badge in the school. The Leader badge, we were the first year sixes to get the Leader badge. When are homeroom teacher (Mcguinniety) called out our names for the badge . Me and Carla were shaking when we were going to the front of the hall. My most favorite part was getting the badge and hand shaking Mrs Mcguinniety. Here is a photo of me with my Leader badge. The first photo is me.

Sumopaint

For the past two weeks we have been trying different things except google slides. For cybersmart we try Sumopaint you can use it for art and art designs. There are cool paint brushes and there is another cool tool is is a symmetry tool it copy every side you paint. I found it hard to use it because if you make a mistake it Missed up your good design you made. I found it easy to use the other tools because they easy to use. Here is my sumopaint design.
